» About the island
By the year of 1719 the lighthouse was built by the command of Peter I. Nowadays shows the light to ships lighthouse built in 1807. The current toppest edifice made of metal is installed on 1857 and is made in France. Swedish name for Keri is Kokskâr.
On the years of 1906 - 1912 the lighthouse was fed on local natural gas, also all of the houses were heat up by natural gas. Unfortunately the subterrainean collapse took place and the gasflow stopped. Keri lighthouse is under heritage protection. The lighthouse keeper left the island on 2002 and he was the last habitant.
